Sofus er i papegøjepension for anden gang i Monkey World.

Sofus i papegøjepension

Han er en skøn papegøje (Grå Jaco) på 2,5 år. Han er vild med damer, og elsker at gnave lidt i mænd. Han har en rigtig sød mor, der har været glad for hans tidligere besøg, så nu er han tilbage. Kort efter Sofus ankom, fik han lidt sukkerærter som han elskede!

Sofus i papegøjepension

Sofus mor har haft ham hos dyrlægen, det høre vi lidt om her i Monkey World. Han har nemlig lært at sige “Doktor Fugl”.  Sofus holder sin ferie med to andre ferie papegøjer som naboer og han er vild med det! De synger og snakker sammen hele dagen lang, der er aldrig kedeligt her i Monkey World.

Grå jaco på ferie

Vi har i Monkey World mange grå papegøjer på besøg i vores papegøje hotel hvert år. Den grå jaco er super lærenem og elsker udfordringer, som ting der kan skilles ad eller splittes ad for at komme ind til en godbid.  Der er ingen tvivl om netop denne papegøje art er en af de klogeste af alle papegøjer. Vi elsker dem for deres lyde med genkendelige stemmer, og jungle lyde, som passer perfekt til vores lille regnskovs tema.

Neden under, på videoen, er morgen festen i fuld gang på papegøje hotellet. Der er en del larm lige inden morgenmaden serveres, for den der råber højest tror han/hun får først. Nogle fløjter, nogle hygger og andre råber efter deres morgen mad. 5 min efter er der helt stille og alle spiser.

Hvis du overvejer en papegøje og allerede har haft en undulat eller en parakit, så er næste step måske en mellem papegøje som en senegal eller den grå jaco. Men husk deres alder. Køb nu ikke en fugl eller papegøje, der bliver ældre end dig, med mindre du på forhånd har aftalt med din familie, hvem der kan overtage papegøjen, når du ikke er her mere. Det værste der kan ske for en papegøje, er at blive en vandrepokal.
